Overview
Hexly is designed to work without requiring an account. The app’s core gameplay is available without providing personal information. Where possible, data is stored on your device.
Information Hexly may store
- Gameplay data: puzzle progress, completion state, streaks, and in-app settings.
- Purchase status: whether Hexly Premium is active, used to unlock features and restore purchases.
- Device-level diagnostics: if you choose to share diagnostics with developers in iOS, Apple may provide crash logs and performance information associated with Hexly.
iCloud syncing (optional)
If you have iCloud enabled for Hexly on your device, gameplay data may sync through your iCloud account so it can persist across sessions and installations. This syncing is managed by Apple’s iCloud services.
How information is used
- To operate the app (saving progress and preferences).
- To enable and restore in-app purchases (for example, unlocking Hexly Premium).
- To display ads and measure performance when ads are enabled.
- To improve stability and performance (reviewing crash logs when provided by Apple).
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
Advertising
Hexly may display ads. Ads are served by third-party advertising partners. Depending on your settings and permissions, these partners may collect and process information such as device identifiers, coarse location (if available), and app interaction data to (a) serve ads, (b) personalize ads, (c) measure performance, (d) limit fraud, and (e) support reporting. Where required, Hexly will request permission before allowing tracking for advertising purposes (for example, via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you decline, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
In-app purchases
Hexly offers optional in-app purchases processed by Apple through the AppStore. Nox Studios does not receive your full payment information. Apple may provide us with purchase status (for example, whether Hexly Premium is active) so we can unlock features and restore purchases.
Data sharing
Nox Studios does not sell your personal information. When ads are enabled, limited information may be shared with advertising partners for the purposes described above. Apple may also process information as part of providing AppStore and iCloud services.
Data retention
Gameplay data remains on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account for as long as you keep Hexly installed or iCloud data available. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable support records.
Your choices
- Delete app data: uninstall Hexly to remove locally stored data.
- iCloud: you can enable or disable iCloud for Hexly in iOS Settings.
- Tracking permission: if prompted, you can allow or deny tracking for ads, and you can change your choice in iOS Settings.
- Diagnostics: you can control whether iOS shares diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings.
Children’s privacy
Hexly is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via support email, contact support@noxstudios.net and we will work to remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated policy on this page.
